Traditional Uses:
Commonly used in the treatment of colds and flu. May be beneficial when used to treat yeast infections as well as viral infections such as herpes and shingles. Lowers blood pressure and increases blood flow. Has been shown to reduce low density lipo-proteins (bad cholesterol). Promotes a feeling of wellbeing. Assists in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome. Any conditions caused by viruses, retrovirus, or bacterial infections.
Directions to use:
Leaves: Infusion: 2-3 teaspoons of herb in 1 cup of boiling water. Infuse for 10-15min. Strain and drink two to three times per day.
Powder: Best taken in capsule form. 1000-2000mg per day.
Safety precautions:
May cause headaches, diarrhea, as well as fatigue. These symptoms are signs that the herb is detoxifying your system. Do not use if pregnant or lactating. Consult with a medical practitioner before use.
