Chlorpromazine is a derivative from Methylene Blue (MB). MB is also the parent compound of chloroquine and can therefore be used to treat or prevent malaria. MB can be used as an antidote for any poison that displaces O2 from blood or mitochondria, for example carbon monoxide (CO). MB assists animals when they have pulmonary damage or lung infections.
