Oregano vulgare
Stomatic, expectorant, antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiviral, spasmolytic and anti-inflammatory.
Traditional Uses:
Reports of use: bronchitis, catarrh, cold and flu, colic, and dyspepsia. It is reported that the herb is high in antioxidants. Some evidence is found of the following claims, that it fights bacteria, relieves inflammation, and regulates blood sugar and lipids. The herbs or their diluted oils are sometimes used topically for mouth hygiene, to treat nasal congestion, wounds, and itching skin.
Directions to use:
Infusion:Â 1-2 teaspoons of herb in 1 cup of boiling water. Infuse for 10-15min. Strain and drink one to three cups per day.

Do not use if pregnant or lactating. Consult with a medical practitioner before use.
