Anti-inflammatory, venotonic diuretic,
cleansing, stimulant, astringent
Traditional Uses:
Internal: Can constrict veins and reduce inflammation. Improves circulation in hands and feet and reduces oedema in legs and feet. Tighten the circulatory system’s veins, strengthen the capillary walls, enhances blood flow to the brain, legs, and hands. Anti-inflammatory action to reduce swelling associated with arthritis and rheumatism. Reduces the pain caused by haemorrhoids.
External: Hemorrhoids, varicose veins, rectal. Compress: Soak a clean cloth in the Butcher’s broom tea and apply to area. Ointment: Apply small amounts of the ointment to hemorrhoids until inflammation is cleared.
Directions to use:
Infusion: Pour 1 cup of boiled water over 1 – 2 teaspoons of herb. Infuse for 10min and drink twice per day.
Safety precautions:
Do not use if pregnant or lactating, or if you have high blood pressure. Stay within the recommended dosages. Consult with a medical practitioner before use.
